City Hire supplied a wide range of equipment to help contractors working at The Shard.
Access equipment topped the list of frequent hires for this famous project. Stairway tower hire was exceptionally popular with our clients during this project and we also saw a high number of both mitre saws and circular saws to assist with construction works at the Shard.

History
An idea that was thought of in 1998 then developed into the highest building in Europe by 2012. What the architect calls a ‘vertical city’ has been placed in the heart of London overlooking the Thames and beyond.
Not only does the Shard offer stunning views of Britain’s capital, but it also allows for a variety of city necessities: restaurants, hotels, a viewing platform, and offices.
Today, the Shard has become a symbol of London.
