Wheeled Concrete/Cement Mixers are used on site to mix large quantities of concrete and mortar. They are reliable machines and are available with Diesel or Electric power. The diesel version has an electric start using a key delivered with the machine, the electric variant simply has a push button start.
The 110 Litre mixing drum can be loaded from either side of the machine, as the drum can be tilted through 360 degrees.
On the side of these 5/3 mixers, there is a handwheel which turns the drum for pouring the mixed contents into a wheelbarrow. The wheel has a self-locking plunger that will hold the drum at the angle of your choice.
Please ensure that you wash the drum of the mixer after each use when hiring. This helps avoid build-up of concrete in the drum that will compromise mixing performance. Rather than fill the drum with bricks, Belle recommends that you use some coarse gravel and clean water to scrub the drum of any concrete residue.
5/3 Mixers have a much larger drum capacity and opening than the smaller 4/3 mixer, making it easier to mix larger volumes faster.
