The DC 3900/DC Tromb is a large, high capacity H Class dust extractor, suitable for vacuum cleaning and source extraction from handheld power tools and small table saws. They are powerful units that filter airborne dust particles such as silica and wood dust using a HEPA H13 filter. In addition to dealing with standard airborne particles, the H Class machines are able to contain harmful dust containing mould spores, asbestos, mineral fibres, bitumen and artificial mineral fibres such as glass wool.
The dust extractor uses negative pressure generated from its twin motors to force the air through a suction cover/nozzle, hose system, pre-separator and dust separator. Coarse separation is carried out in the machine’s cyclone, providing very effective separation of any coarse dust. Fine dust is separated in the units filter. Reverse-pulse filter cleaning ensures extended filter life. Dust is discharged into a 20 liter plastic bag that can be detached with a simple operation, making it easy to dispose or recycle.
The machine has a filter status indicator that lights up when the filter needs to be cleaned or replaced. With continuous use, the filters may need to be cleaned up to 1-2 times a day.
